Our second day in New York started a little bit earlier than the first one. We took the train to NY at 2 pm but fortunately it was not as hot as the day before. This time planned to go North a little bit and explore Central Park and the Metrpolitan Museum of Arts. But our first stop was Times Square. We decided to walk all of these distances in order to see more of New York and not just stop by at all the highlights and then go home again.
After getting a Smoothie at Jamba Juice we tried to think of a creative way to make some more money. We doubt that we will not be low on cash when we come back to the Netherlands. So we had an awesome idea.

Anyways, we walked around Times Square a bit which was not too crowded at this point which was really nice. Afterwards, we walked to the Rockefeller Center. It is nice to see this part of the city compared to the South-West of Manhattan. The Rockefeller Center was impressive although you can almost not see how high it is if you stand right in front of it. We decided not to go to the top and continue our tour to Central Park. We grabbed lunch on the way which was really not tasty at all. That is also why we won't post a picture of it..
We finally arrived at the beginning of the park and started our walk to the Metropolitan Museum of Arts. It was really nice to see so much "green" right in the middle of the gigantic city. We saw a lot of musicians, street artists and street dancers. The street dancers were incredible and it was a joy watching them. They called them self AFROBATS or something and they did some really cool tricks. We continued our tour on the east side of Central Park and arrived at the Museum. There is some sort of suggested entry price but we just showed Hugh's membership card (Member since 1987) and got in for free.
The exhibition is unbelievable! To give you an idea:

- Asia Art

We spend an hour alone just in a special exhibition about photography during the Civil War. Next, we went up to the rooftop terrace which had an amazing view. We could see the city, the West side and parts of the Upper East Side. So for all those people out there who love Sex and the City, The Nanny, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Devil wears Prada, or -of course- all of you Gossip Girls, I can truly say: It is quite cool. Nice cars, nice buildings, nice service, etc. Worth checking out!
It was a day in New York that we won't forget so fast.
